Richard Holland
Managing Director, Capita Insurance Services, 43

As Managing Director, Richard has overall responsibility for the management of the Capita Insurance Services business. He joined Capita in February 2003 as part of the acquisition of Aurora Corporate Services – the company formed by PwC to manage the run-off of Independent Insurance. As Operations Director he managed the transition and integration into Capita and steadily increased his responsibilities before being appointed Managing Director of Capita Insurance Services in January 2007 - reporting directly to the Capita Group Plc Board. Richard qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1989 and has a wealth of experience in both the financial and general insurance sectors.

Nick Bedford
Senior Divisional Finance Director, 48

Nick joined Capita in July 2002 as Divisional Finance Director of Capita’s Business Services Division. He is now Senior Divisional Finance Director for Capita’s private sector companies, with specific responsibility for the Financial Services and Insurance & Specialist Services divisions. Nick is a chartered accountant with over 20 years’ experience in the industry, where he has held a number of roles, including Commercial Director, and has been responsible for running operations. Having begun his career at Grant Thornton, Nick moved on to join Unipart. He subsequently worked for a number of large Plc’s including RAC Plc and Misys Plc. Immediately before joining Capita, Nick was Commercial Director of the Phoenix IT Group.

Sandy Dunn
Non-Executive Chairman, BDML Connect Limited and Capita Insurance and Special Risk Services, 55

Prior to establishing BDML, Sandy gained his experience in the insurance industry, having established Eagle Star’s direct operation in 1988/89 before launching Touchline Insurance in 1993, where he was MD. He was also director of the GAN Group from 1992 to 1998 and was MD of Rossborough Insurance Services from 1993 to 1998. Sandy has held a number of senior positions on industry bodies such as the CII and ABI and is a Chartered Insurance Broker. He joined Capita following the acquisition of BDML in 2005.

Mark Townsend
Managing Director, BDML, 35

Responsible for Capita's Insurance Distribution business in the Personal Lines and SME market places. Mark joined BDML at the beginning of 2004 and managed its integration into Capita following acquisition in 2005. Before joining Capita, Mark held positions within Norwich Union and HSBC and leads a team with extensive insurance experience in a range of market sectors.

Tony Page
Managing Director, CAMS, 45

Tony is responsible for managing and developing Capita Absence Management Services Ltd and Capita Assistance. Tony joined Capita in 2004, having previously worked as an independent business consultant specialising in the Waste Management and Recycling Industry. Prior to this he was a director at Computer People.

Andrew Beer
Managing Director, Outsourcing, 44

Andrew is responsible for the leadership and growth of Capita Insurance Services’ Outsourcing division. Originally having joined Capita as Programme Director in 2005, Andrew was appointed Managing Director of the Coal Health Contract in 2007. He has more than 20 years’ experience in financial services, with ten years’ programme management exposure. He has particular expertise in delivering complex business change programmes, which have included contact centre operations, financial regulation, claims management and offshoring. Before joining Capita, Andrew held a number of positions with Abbey, most recently that of Programme Director, Insurance and Banking.

Stewart Steel
Managing Director, Claims Services, 46

Responsible for the leadership, direction and profitability of Capita’s “live” claims operation. A Chartered Loss Adjuster and Chartered Insurance Practitioner, Stewart joined the Group in 2002. Since then he has led the acquisition of the Hill House Hammond contract and the creation and development of Capita’s highly successful corporate and complex Loss Adjusting business, Teceris.

Kate Roy
Managing Director, London Market and Marsh UK Ltd contract, 42

With almost 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry, Kate now manages Capita’s contract with Marsh UK Ltd. In 1995, she was appointed to run a general insurance tele-broker in Glasgow – a joint venture between General Accident and Aon. Following that she held various management roles for Aon, including Operations Director for the Coal Health Contract, before transferring to Capita in 2004. After joining Capita Kate initially worked as a Bid Director, which included overseeing the renewal of the Coal Health Contract, before being appointed Managing Director of the London Market business in 2007.
