Reporting to head of Capita’s general insurance division, Brent Escott, he takes up his new role immediately.
Greg will hold responsibility for service provision to Capita’s wide commercial insurance client base, which includes managing agents, insurers and brokers in the Lloyd’s, London and UK markets. He will work closely with Brent Escott and newly-appointed chief operating officer John Bissell.
Greg Carter has over 25 years of insurance industry experience and joins Capita from the Financial Services Authority (FSA) where he was manager, wholesale insurance intermediaries. Before joining the FSA, Greg had a distinguished career in a variety of respected rating agencies. Having started his career at Standard & Poor’s, Greg subsequently led the opening and development of A.M. Best & Company’s first European office. Latterly Greg was managing director, insurance, at Fitch Ratings, where he led a team of 35 covering life and non-life insurance companies throughout Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.

Capita Commercial Insurance Services provides services to managing agents, insurers and brokers in the Lloyd's, London and UK market. Areas of delivery currently include London market underwriting services, accounting and premium credit control, claims management and run-off.
