Brent has around 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry, working for intermediaries and insurers covering both the personal and commercial lines markets. In recent years Brent has been working with private equity firms with particular focus on the UK SME insurance market. From 2002 to 2007 he was at Brit Insurance Holdings, as managing director of the company’s UK Division.
In his new role, he will have responsibility for Capita’s commercial insurance business covering the London insurance market and the UK commercial market. He will also run Capita's operations in Netherlands, Denmark and France.

Mr Escott’s appointment has been approved by the FSA.
