Teceris shortlisted as a finalist at the British Insurance Awards

In July, Teceris was announced as a finalist in the major loss category of the British Insurance Awards 2009.

Entrants were asked to present a case study to demonstrate how they have responded to a major loss, which was defined as ‘any claim the size and scope of which takes it well beyond the routine’.

Teceris’ entry concerned a large and complex fire at a production facility.  The loss generated a number of challenges relating to the speed, scale, complexity and coordination of the claim.  All of which Teceris overcame. The claim was approached in a broad minded way with the ultimate objective of ensuring that business interruption was minimised and the client base maintained.

Once the scale of the loss had been established Teceris worked to protect the customer base while reinstatement was explored.  This resulted in a significant level of customer retention.

Following an audit of financial details the loss was settled to the satisfaction of all parties. Teceris also achieved the other main objective - rapid claim settlement. The settlement was agreed in less than two and a half months.
